About Me

Hi There!

As stated before, I am a Games Programmer, a Graduate of Falmouth University. I am also an Indie Dev working in my own company as well as a full-time XR Developer. I primarily use C# and Unity to create games and it is what I work best in. I am eager to learn C++ and develop for Unreal Engine as well but my preference is Unity due to how creative I feel when using it. I programmed in Python for around 4 years before pivoting into the games development field more, and really enjoyed it, I would consider it an extremely valuable experience to have whilst still in school.

I have big interests in the VR development area, as well as mobile and would want to development for both.

I've worked in teams of up to 12, with many different kinds of disciplines and managed to maintain good communication between them all. In first year we created a successful game raising awareness about mental health within lockdown, and in second year we created another successfull game - a relaxing fly-a-thon exploration game. In the current year of Univerisity, the final year, myself and the rest of my team hope to continue on past June as our own Indie Development Studio, as we are currently working on a title, we have high hopes and ambitions.

My studio works with the Agile methodoligy, creating a build for both Windows and Steam Deck, I have invested a lot of my time into how I can program mechanics and interactions inside of our game with a console or controller based input system in mind, and really taking advantage of the SteamWorks Input API.

Whilst at University I have participated in public speaking events representing my course and the Games Academy. Two of these events were about discussing my work in modules that year and how my student expierence, academically and socially, had been like so far. The first event I spoke to around 40+ East Asain International students, and at the second event I spoke to around 30+SOuth Asaian International students. These events really boosted my skills and confidence when speaking to large crowds of people.

The 3rd and most recent event was for a School in St Agnes, it was to promote and encouranage the learning of Robotics and Virtual Reality to young children. We brought along a couple simple robots and my VR project and VR headset, allowing the children to have fun and learn. Read more here.
